Privacy Policy

How we handle information about visitors and users.

Last Updated October 7, 2026

Who we are

Price Oversight provides product pricing monitoring for businesses. Contact privacy@priceoversight.com with privacy questions.

Information we handle

Website inquiries include your name, email, company, role, and message. Application data includes user names and email addresses, organization membership, product identifiers such as UPCs and ASINs, customer-provided prices, and monitoring results. Public retail prices and MSRP are typical inputs. Please do not include sensitive personal information or credentials in an inquiry.

Why we use information

We use website inquiries to respond to your request, not to enroll you in newsletters or marketing campaigns. We process application information to provide the requested service, manage accounts, support users, and investigate problems. Technical request information may be processed by infrastructure providers to deliver and protect the service.

Customer information

For information processed on behalf of a business customer, the customer agreement and applicable data-processing terms govern our responsibilities. Contact your organization administrator about organization-managed records; you can also contact us for assistance. This notice does not change a customer agreement.

Providers and disclosures

Contact-form submissions are sent to Web3Forms and delivered to our email service. Web3Forms may retain submissions as well as deliver them. Hosting and application providers process information needed to operate the service. See Subprocessors and Service Providers for details. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights.

Retention

While your organization subscribes, we keep monitoring data, including observed prices, screenshots, likely source listings, and review decisions, for 13 months from when it was collected. Your plan sets how much of that history you can see; upgrading shows more of it, and downgrading does not delete it. When service ends, your data stays available read-only for 90 days so you can export it. We email your organization's owners 30 days and 7 days before it is deleted. We do not delete a paying customer's data because nobody has logged in. Evidence reports you download are yours to keep. A customer agreement can set a different period.

Deleting your data

Send deletion requests to privacy@priceoversight.com. After we verify the request, we disable access right away. You then have 7 days to withdraw the request, or you can ask us to start immediately. We delete live data within 30 days of verification, and backup copies expire within a further 35 days. Closing an organization deletes that organization's data for every member. Deleting your personal login removes your account and memberships but leaves data that belongs to your organization. We send a receipt describing what was deleted and anything we must keep.

Records we keep longer

Some records are kept for set periods regardless of account status: financial and invoice records for 5 years after the end of the financial year, security and audit logs for 1 year, support and sales correspondence for 1 year after the last exchange, and technical logs for 30 days. Umami Cloud keeps website analytics data for 6 months. Providers such as Web3Forms may keep their own copies under their terms.

Cookies and technical information

The marketing website does not use cookies for analytics. Umami Cloud measures aggregate use: pages, referrers, country, device and browser, plus calls to action and form submissions. To do this, Umami Cloud receives your IP address and browser type, which it uses to work out country and device. To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. We do not use advertising analytics or session-replay scripts. Infrastructure providers may process request information such as IP addresses and timestamps. The application may use browser storage for authentication. This statement does not describe tracking on third-party websites you choose to visit.

Processing locations

Our AWS infrastructure is hosted in US West (Oregon), us-west-2. Other service providers may process information in different locations. Contact privacy@priceoversight.com for information about data locations relevant to your use of the service.

Your requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Send requests to privacy@priceoversight.com. We may need to verify identity and coordinate with the business customer. Where applicable, you may also raise concerns with your local privacy regulator.

Updates

We may update this notice as practices change. The date on this page identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required.
