Price Oversight

Subprocessors and Service Providers

The third parties that process customer data on our behalf, and the other providers that support our website and business.

How we use subprocessors

A subprocessor is a third party that processes personal data in our customers' accounts on our behalf to deliver the Price Oversight service. Providers that receive only product information, such as UPCs and public retailer pages, are not subprocessors and are not listed. Each one is bound by a written agreement with data-protection and security obligations at least as protective as our commitments to customers. We notify customers at least 30 days before adding or replacing a subprocessor. Customers can object as described in their agreement. To receive these notices, email privacy@priceoversight.com with the subject "Subprocessor updates".

Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting and infrastructure

Purpose: application hosting, compute, networking, the application database, user sign-in, storage for screenshots and evidence, delivery of sign-in codes and team invitations through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), secrets management, backups, and, when enabled, AI inference through Amazon Bedrock. Data: all customer data processed by the service, including user names and email addresses, team membership, watched listings and alert prices, monitoring results, likely source listings, review decisions, and screenshots. Location: United States (US West, Oregon; us-west-2). Amazon Bedrock does not use inputs to train models.

Google Workspace: email correspondence

Purpose: our email for sales, support, billing, privacy, and security correspondence. Data: names, email addresses, and the content of messages exchanged with us. Location: United States and other Google data center locations.

Intuit QuickBooks: invoicing and payments

Purpose: invoices, payment processing, and accounting records. Data: billing contact name and email, company name, billing address, and invoice details. Card or bank details entered to pay a QuickBooks invoice are collected by Intuit, and we never store them. Location: United States. Intuit also acts as an independent controller for some payment data under its own terms.

AI models and your data

Product matching and embedding models run on our own infrastructure, or within AWS through Amazon Bedrock when it is enabled. We do not send customer data to other AI model providers, and customer data is not used to train third-party models.

Other service providers

These providers support our website and business but do not process customer data from the application. Umami Cloud measures marketing website use without cookies (https://umami.is/privacy). Web3Forms receives contact-form submissions and delivers them to our inbox, and may retain submissions under its own terms (https://web3forms.com/privacy). If you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates you under its own terms.
